Fairfield SEPTA Grant Application

The purpose of the SEPTA Grant Program is to provide funding to teachers and other professionals to enable them to better serve children with IEP’s.   Projects may be instructional or non-instructional, within or outside the academic setting.  A SEPTA member must sponsor the project by submitting a written statement on the importance and need for the project. Applications are reviewed and approved on a monthly basis by the SEPTA Grant Committee. Grant recipients may be asked to attend a SEPTA meeting to introduce their project to our membership.

One or more of the following guidelines must be met:

Projects that:

• Are creative and innovative and enrich the current curriculum.
• Have direct impact on classroom activity.
• Could be adapted/shared by another teacher or school.  
• Promote social interaction within the school setting.
• Improve parent communications or public relations between school and community.
• Serve to improve the school climate.

There is a $500 limit on each grant. Any books, equipment etc. purchased with the funds must display the SEPTA label (provided with the grant).   A progress report/evaluation form must be submitted to the Grant Committee by the completion of the school year.
